How to Block All Steam Games

How many hours did you spend playing Steam games? Be honest!

Right, that’s why we wrote this simple guide on how to block all Steam games with FocusMe.

Just follow these steps:

The first thing you do is either create a new plan or edit an existing one. To create a new plan, hit the “Add Plan” button on the upper right. To edit an existing plan, you can either right-click on the plan and select “Edit Plan” or hit the respective ellipsis on the right.

Go through the wizard as per your preference until you get to page 3/6 (Applications).

In the Blocklist, click the “Add App” button, then in custom tab, set Type to ‘Process Path’ and enter the path to your Steam games, e.g.

For Windows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

For macOS:

/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/

Click Done. Below is how the rule should look:

Go through the rest of the wizard depending on your preferences.

One thing to remember is to enable “Blocking of Background Apps (by Process Name/Path)” in the System tab of the Settings page to make sure the Steam games are blocked.

And you are done! You will find that blocking steam games can sometimes be a great idea if you really want to be productive.
