‘topping up’ as opposed to pausing plans could be enabled as an alternative (or replacement) of pausing.
Topping up encourages ‘sipping’ the extra allocation during the remaining plan period, whereas pausing the plan encourages bingeing during the pause period, and a crash when the pause ends (and disappointment when you realise you didn’t make the most of the pause?)
Although dipping in and out of sites on the plan might not be so good for task switching it might be less dramatic on the nerves and encourage gentle use.
